Florence in a nutshell

As a continuation of my catch-up, I feel the need to write a short blog on Florence. This city was magical and I could tell from the first time walking around it. Good times were had all around but I just want to hit a few highlights.

Il Latini– I know that there have been some posts about this restaurant already so I won’t go into detail here. What I do want to do is supplement the other posts with a video that will supplement those posts and give what I believe to be an accurate depiction of what we experienced there.

Yeah, that’s pretty much exactly what it was like.

Galileo Science Museum– As a science enthusiast, this was a real treat for me. It was all about the history of scientific discovery from Galileo forward and how Florence and Tuscany specifically contributed to scientific improvement. It had all kinds of artifacts and demonstrations from that time period that were just incredible to see. Although it wasn’t the favorite of some of the others on the trip, I was like a kid in a candy shop there.

Leather Market– As a red-blooded, capitalism loving American, I can’t resist a good deal. The Florence leather market shows capitalism in its purest form and I loved it. I had a great time going around and haggling with the vendors and I feel like I walked away with some pretty good deals. The best part was going around with Eleni and running a wingman/partner haggling game. I feel like she and I really connected there and I know I’m going to treasure those memories for a long time.
